Getting Started

Firstly

If you aren't using Habbo Beta...

First of all, you'll need to download Shockwave. It's entirely free. You can download it from here.

If you are using Habbo BETA (or 'New Habbo')

You'll need to download Adobe flash player, but the chances are you already have it. A simple test: if you can view youtube videos, you have it. If you can't, then download it for free here. It's 100% safe, so don't worry. And it won't clutter up your precious computer, and you'll find it's very useful. It works across practically every operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris), so you're sorted.

Secondly, visit your hotel

To find the hotel best for you, just google 'Habbo'. If you're in france, habbo.fr should come up tops, and if you're in the UK, habbo.co.uk should come up at the top. That's the simplest way to do things.

Registering

Create a Habbo

On the main screen of the site you'll see a link saying "REGISTER FOR FREE" - click that. Then you'll come to a new screen where you can personalise your Habbo with cool clothes! You can change everything later on so you don't have to spend ages on this step (though if you want a perfect entrance, you're welcome to). You also need to pick a name for your Habbo.

Why does Habbo want to know my birth-date?

Habbo want to know your birthdate so they can monitor who visits Habbo and can improve it to fit their taste. For example: if everyone who visited Habbo was 15 they might want to add new furni aimed at that age range. It's also because there is a registration limit to protect younger people.

Logging into Habbo

If you've just registered you should already be logged in, if not you can just visit the homepage and login there. You should really confirm your email first. That way you can get access to things like trading, plus you get a cool badge. Don't worry, Habbo won't send you loads of junk (unless you check the box about the newsletter, in which case you get one every week).

Checking into the Hotel

If you want to check into the hotel you just click the small link at the top saying 'Enter Habbo Hotel' or click the big button saying 'To Hotel'.
