Habbo eXperts were just Habbos, like you. Any age could apply, and you could do it right from your home. Their job, was to help Habbos (new ones especially) around the hotel. The Habbo eXpert scheme was introduced just before the Hobbas were removed.

Can I apply to be a Habbo eXpert?

Unfortunately, no. The scheme has ended now due to the introdruction of Habbo Guides. There is no other real reason to why the scheme was ended, as Habbo still claim it to be successful. But before the scheme was abolished, anyone could apply as long as you fitted the criteria (which wasn't too hard); any age from any country.

The Criteria:

• That you have had your account for approximately 6 months and are active in Habbo.
• That you have visited the Hotel at least 200 times.
• That you know the Habbo Way inside and out and live your Habbo life by it.
• That you have no more than half a dozen bans for minor offences (e.g. nothing worse than flooding, swearing and minor disruption).
• That you are patient, enthusiastic and actually like sharing your knowledge with people!
• That you have good knowledge of the Hotel and, if applying to become a Safety X, that you have good understanding of how to keep safe online.

Habbo Xs had special powers that us regular folk don't have! So what exactly could they do? Well they...

• Could enter full rooms (known as Room Override)
• Got a glamorous badge

The different types

X Team Leaders

These eXperts lead small groups of other eXperts, provided them with support and held team meetings for them.

General (Standard) Xs

These eXperts spent the first 2 months of their time on the X team learning the ropes in the Welcome Lounge or Safety Spa, depending on where their interests were.

Host Xs

These eXperts were specialised in helping new players with general questions about Habbo Hotel and they were generally found in the Welcome Lounge and other public rooms.

Gamer Xs

These eXperts specialised in showing new players how to play the various Hotel games as well as hosted guest room games for Habbos to take part in and ran workshops to show other Habbos how to create their own games.

Safety Xs

Safety eXperts gave advice on how Habbos can keep themselves safe on the Internet and they were also a fountain of knowledge on scams and how to avoid them. You'd find them in the Safety Spa public room.

Tech Safety Xs

Tech Safety eXperts gave advice on keeping your Habbo account and your computer safe with the use of anti-virus, anti-spyware, strong passwords and good operating system management.
