The Hotel Navigator
AboutWhat is the hotel navigator? The hotel navigator is the thing that lets you switch between rooms of the hotel. You can visit guest rooms which are owned by guests of the hotel or public rooms which are owned by Habbo itself!HistoryBefore Release 6...Every guest room was listed under Guest Rooms. There were no categories at all. If I'm correct I think it was the top 20 or 11 rooms with the most people were listed in guest rooms and the rest were just hidden. After that the rooms were spilt up into categories.Pre-v7 navigator (2001 onwards)Also...The layout of the nav was slightly different. There was no box around the Go button or the room name and there was no 'colour' indication of how populated the room was. Each room had a number out of 25, 40 or 50 (only in Public rooms) saying how many where in it next to the name. E.g 24/25. For guest rooms there was just a number to the left of the nav.V7 navigator (2006)Colours are introduced as well as grouping on guest rooms.![]()
Slight updates (2007)What we'll call the 'v8' navigator.![]()
Habbo BETA navigator (2009)As you may have noticed, the shading on the navigator is more sophisticated rather than a 'block colour' shadow; it fades out.![]() Navigator Icons:
As you can see, the original icon (left) doesn't really look like the hotel much. They then updated it (middle) to make it look more like the hotel view but after Habbo went international, they changed the icon to what it is today (right). Though, When Habbohotel.fi first opened as Hotel Kultakala it also had the icon (left) as it's navigator icon even though the hotel didn't look like that. |
