Habbo ID is coming

You've probably noticed we've been making changes in how you sign in and register an account in Habbo.

The biggest change of all for the accounts is coming next week. Starting March 30th, 2010, every Habbo will get a new Habbo ID, where your username is your email address, and not your Habbo character name. If you're already using Facebook, Google or Twitter account with Habbo, you don't need to do anything about this, but if you're still signing in with your Habbo name, there are small changes ahead.

Why do this?
Pretty simple! We want to make signing into Habbo more convenient, make it easier to remember one's account name and improve Habbo's security.

How does it work?
When the change comes, we'll automatically create your Habbo ID if your email address is already activated. If you...

Vote For March's Room of the Month!

Who created your favourite Featured Room in March?

This March, we asked you to let your imagination run wild with an open Featured Room theme. You got those creative juices flowing and gave us your personal best. In turn, we found six rooms that really dazzled us.

First up was Western Train Station by Sick.Boy.Wow. The locomotive, brilliantly crafted from Mode and Lodge Furni, delighted us. The train station made us want to shout "all aboard!" and take a trip outta town.

Our second pick was a real trip down the...

Motion City Soundtrack Are Visiting

Chat with the guys from Motion City Soundtrack live in Club Mammoth today, Thursday 25th, from 4:30pm.

Having just released their fourth studio album, "My Dinosaur Life" on Monday 22nd March, we couldn't turn down the chance to hear them perform live in the Habbo UK Office, London.

The guys will be doing an acoustic gig in our 'celeb corner' which we will record and share with you. There's no better way to get to know Motion City Soundtrack and their new album, than to hear them performing a couple of tracks acoustically live.

The filming of the Habbo Session will be followed by a live chat in Club Mammoth. We're aiming to start the chat at 4:30pm, but please be patient as the recording may go on a little longer than planned.

You can pick up a copy of "My Dinosaur Life" Comment & Read More...

Vibrant Verses

Exercise the right to rhyme

In the Alhambran court, poets occupied a special position in court — and it's not just because they sat on the softest pillows before everyone else. To celebrate the progress we've made in the Alhambra wing of the hotel, we're inviting all Habbo poets to write a 10-12 line poem about the re-launch of the Alhambran section of Habbo Hotel. Of course, since we're looking for the best of the best, we're also requiring that you use the following 5 words anywhere in your poem:

· Alhambra
· sword
· ancient
· romance
· Plasto

The 5 winning poets who manage to use these 5 words in their poem in the most amusing or meaningful manner will receive:

The Grandeur of Gardening

Some things are built to last

The old Alhambra wing was known for its intricate rooms, beautifully handmade craftwork, and bejeweled designs. Now that we're slowly cleaning up the debris of that VIP who decided that parties included breaking down walls and plasto furni, we've decided to add a whole new dimension to the Alhambra wing: indoor gardens.

Help us restore the old Alhambra wing of Habbo Hotel to its former glory by creating a palatial garden (large room, 50 Habbos max) where we can see the beauty and grandeur of the Alhambran court. Send over your rooms to competitions.sg [at] sulake.com with your Habbo name, the attached screenshot, and a 100-word description of why we should choose your room. Don't ...

The Return of the Rares!

But not for long... Dun, dun, DUUNN!

Who would've thought that a leisurely stroll through the Amazon jungle could result in such a discovery? With more than 200 explorers stumbling across the giant Rare Beanstalk we've now added it to the Catalogue... but for a very limited time!

That’s right, Rare furniture is back in action! *Covers ears from deafening WOO HOO’s*. Rares are extra special items of furni that are sold for a very, very short amount of time. They cost 25 Credits each (I know, that sounds super expensive but keep reading...) because they’re never sold again and increase in value. Think of them as the perfect investment piece.

With that said, the new Rare Beanstalk’s time with us is running out. Get your mittens on this slice of paradise before it leaves forever on April 1st

Review of Drake's album "So Far Gone"
by macster101

Canadian born artist, Drake, came out with his new album, "So Far Gone". It features seven new songs by the Hip Hop/Rap artist. His genius song-writing and rapping skills help him to deliver a well-made album!

His well-known song, "Best I Ever Had", is catchy, and he's rapping like he's pro! "Uptown" is even better! This song features Lil' Wayne, and Bun B. "I'm Goin In" has a different sound from the rest of the songs on his album. It has a cool beat to it, and even has Young Jeezy featured!

I would really recommend this for people that are ...

Where has Alvin put his guitar?

Alvin and the Chipmunks are about to go on stage but have misplaced their instruments. Can you find them?

Alvin needs your help. Dave and his nephew Toby have sent him, Simon and Theodore back to school after hitting musical superstardom.

With the singing skills and success, the school needs them to save their music program. All they have to do is win 1st place in a battle of the bands competition.

Seems pretty simple, right? Wrong.

Alvin and Chipmunks are up against an equally talented and driven band called The Chipettes. When Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette square off against the boys, romantic and musical sparks are ignited with dazzling musical consequences.

With the boys already feeling like a chipmunk out of water in a human school, do Alvin, Simon and Theodore have what it takes?

Tiger on the prowl!

We thought we had him securely locked up. Turns out we were wrong....

As many of you probably noticed, we never got around to celebrating Chinese New Year this time... as it happens, it coincided perfectly with Valentines and the beginning of the Olympics, which you know... were kinda important to us.

The boxes of CNY Furni were just standing around in our virtual warehouse and we almost forgot about them.. until this morning...

When a tiger escaped from its cage!

We know that the tiger is very particular about his surroundings. He especially enjoys a lush scenery where he can easily hide, hunt and hang out. If you have a room like that, better check for tigers...

Review of Alice in Wonderland
by ,SugarRush

I was very excited to see Alice in Wonderland on the weekend. I was even more excited because it was in 3D! My friends had mixed feelings about this movie, but I thought it was amazing.

This movie is basically a continuation of the original Disney animated film. It was a bit hard to follow the story in the beginning because I never saw the original one before. The story is about Alice receiving a marriage proposal and not knowing how to respond. She runs away to "think", and ends up falling into a long, dark hole that eventually leads her to Underland.

Of course, Alice does not remember the s...

But not to worry: now the Boar of Baskerville will have friends around him all the time because he's remaining in the Pets section of the Catalogue permanently! So if you haven't grabbed your very own boar, now's the time.

The Tuesday Ten

It's too late to apologize...

Seems like pop star Ke$ha talks before she thinks (must be 'cos of all of those times she woke up feeling like P. Diddy). Fresh off her performance from American Idol last week with 3OH!3, Ke$ha had an interview in Maxim magazine where she described teenybopper Justin Bieber as 'a baby' and she felt the urge to push Justin around a stage in a baby carriage. Of course, Bieber fans were up in arms over the insult, and Ke$ha apologised over Twitter, saying that she was just joking around and she thinks Justin is incredibly talented. Of course, when you're confronted with legions of angry tweens carrying Justin Bieber posters, you'd also want to apologise for making fun of him.

In honour of baby Justin's journey into maturity (and the possibility of being able to shave his chi...
