Habbolympics Curling
Here's another chance to bring home the gold! I have never really understood how or why curling is an Olympic sport. I mean, the concept of sliding a stone across the ice and brushing its path with a broom seems... well, I just don't get it! But I thought I'd give it a chance and watched it the last few days and you know what? It's rather enjoyable! All the yelling and accuracy and skill needed is pretty incredible. I was so inspired by the curling matches that today (February 23rd) at 4pm to 5pm PT (7-8pm ET) we're gonna do some Habbo-style curing of our own! Here’s how it works: the room will be opened and... He will be logging into Habbo UK from Amsterdam, where he is currently working. Jason Derülo Returning To HabboJason Derülo is returning to Habbo on Thursday 25th February from 5:30pm. Jason Derülo’s smash hit single ‘Whatcha Say’ was hugely successful in the UK and US making him one of the world’s biggest new artists with over 2 million sales in America alone. Once again produced by Jason Derülo’s mentor J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Leona Lewis), ‘In My Head’ places far more emphasis on Derülo’s soaring vocal talents. If his last single made Jason Derülo one of the world’s hottest new stars, ‘In My Head’ proves that he can keep the hits coming. To celebrate his next release, Jason will be joining us for a chat. Featured Movie Review: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Proudly presenting our weekly Featured Movie Review by Berry9 Review of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Although I seldom watch animated films since I am a fan of romantic comedies, this movie with the bizarre title "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" was able to capture my attention. It's not because of the weird title, but because the trailers showed me a dream I always had as a child, a world of food where even the rain is food! The story is about an unfortunate genius named Flint whose every invention always ends up with a very self-defeating fault. For example, he invented a can "Spray-On Shoes", which was supposed to lessen the need for leather to create shoes. Instead, the spray on... By on 23rd February 2010 12:58pm

The Tuesday Ten
Take a bow Now that the top 24's been revealed on the latest season of American Idol, practically everyone's already trying to guess who's going to be winning the judges' praises and who will be voted out after just one performance. Unfortunately, some of our favourites were sent home packing already (Angela Martin, anyone?) and others, well, it wasn't a pretty sight. Apparently one of the early favourites, Chris Golightly, was told that he was heading off to the American Idol stage by the judges. I mean, we even saw his face when the Top 24 was announced by Ryan Seacrest. But when the dance-off montage came at the end of last week's episode, he was nowhere in sight, and suddenly Tim Urban (no relation to country crooner Keith Urban) showed up instead. What happened? Were we all collectively struck by a massive... By on 23rd February 2010 07:20am

The Winter Habbolympics!
It's snow joke ;) With the Aussies and the Kiwis tearing up the snow in Vancouver, we thought it’d be fun to get a taste of the competition in Habbo. Ok, so we’re no Torah Bright (and we’re certainly not wearing spandex), but if you think of a three-way cross between the Jamaican Bobsled team, Steve Bradbury and Blades of Glory you’ll probably get our drift ;) Four teams have emerged and each is determined to take home the most gold medals... but which one will you join? Team 1: Boarders - these guys are brash, show-offs and the kings and queens of cool. They’re way too tanned and have the standard goggle lines all year round. Their favourite Winter Olympic sports include Snowboarding and Skiing. Team 2: Snow Queens - this team is beautiful, posh and unapo... By on 21st February 2010 10:11pm

Myth Bunnies 2010
Hopping all over the myths surrounding online safety. Animal behaviourists have traditionally held that animals at the level of rabbits possess little native intelligence and what behaviour we do witness is actually instinct driven. After coming to terms with the acknowledgement of this fact, I promptly wrote a heavy handed letter to David Attenborough of which contained a carrot (da orange variety), a Bugs Bunny plush toy and an invitation to join me in the Hotel to pop and quell rumours which have pwned, burnt and owned many a naive Habbo. Now, I know the hotel ain’t no Mordor (even though my hairy toes could pass for Frodo Baggins in a certain light), but Habbo is a land of myth and legend - particularly when it comes to Credits and Furni. And more importantly, how to ... By on 20th February 2010 10:07pm
