Spring Is In The Air
Celebrate Chinese New Year with a bang! The tradition of writing spring couplets, or duilian, for Chinese New Year, began way back during the time of Emperor Meng Chang. He carved lucky inscriptions on his door frames in order to invite good luck to enter his palace, and soon the entire country followed suit. Until now, displaying spring couplets above the door or as wall scrolls is a part of the CNY celebrations. Usually, spring couplets present the change of seasons from winter to spring, and uses images like trees and rivers and birds in order to ground the poem into nature. Mariah and Fabio call it quits. After two weeks of intense flirting, cheating allegations and an incident involving a Bot, Mariah has finally dumped Fabio!
